Should all sloppy baseball games be forgot,

And never brought to mind?

Should all crappy baseball games be forgot,

And days of auld lang syne? And days of auld lang syne, my dear,

And days of auld lang syne.

2007 arrived with a resounding thud last Monday night as the Pepsi Ones played like they were hung over from the preceding nights festivities.

Icehouse’s High Life’s completed the sweep of Pres’s Pepsi Ones, 37-4, in a humiliating, embarrassing, sloppy, horrible, horrendous, stupefying, lame, awkward, bewildering, compromising, confusing, difficult, disagreeable, discomforting, discommoding, discommodious, disconcerting, distracting, distressing, disturbing, equivocal, exasperating, helpless, impossible, incommodious, inconvenient, inopportune, mortifying, perplexing, puzzling, rattling, sensitive, shameful, shaming, sticky, ticklish, touchy, tricky, troublesome, troubling, uncomfortable, uneasy, unpropitious, unseemly, upsetting, and slightly worrisome game.

The Ones pitchers had trouble throwing the ball over the plate, but no problem hitting the batters, as one after another High Lifer was drilled. On the rare occasions a pitch managed to cross over the plate it was either crushed (Icehouse & Duke & Neuman went an astonishing 23-23) or booted by a Pepsi One.

The game was the longest game in domeball history clocking in at just under 6 ¾ hours.

Suffice it to say it can only go up from here.
